Bryce, Zion & North Rim
Day 11 - Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Hoodoo at dawn
Hoodoo at dawn
We woke up early to catch the sunrise. The warm pre-dawn light was perfect for photographing the hoodoos. I took well over 200 photos today.

We returned to camp and made bacon and eggs for breakfast. After breakfast, I went to check out the visitor's center.

Ken spent the day on an ATV excursion in Red Canyon. We didn't see him the rest of the day.

In the afternoon, the rest of us boarded one of the park shuttle busses to Rainbow Point at the far end of the park. Dave, Duane and Jean rode the shuttle back to the Visitor's Center. Bob and I rode our bikes through the park stopping at the many overlooks. We spotted a small herd of Pronghorn Antelope in a field. Of course, I got photos. Pronghorn Antelope

The last and best overlook we saw was Bryce Point. It was spectacular. We gazed out at miles and miles of hoodoos.

As we were about to leave, Bob couldn't find the key to his bike lock. As he was requesting assistance from the rangers, Duane, Jean and Dave showed up. They came to see the sunset. I decided to join them. Duane found Bob's key on a path. Bob headed back to camp and then to supper at the Bryce Canyon Lodge. Duane jumped off the shuttle at the Lodge. Dave Jean and I are in camp.

Dave is about to install that new brake on my bike. Let's hope the darn thing works. It worked!
