Yucatan Bicycle Tour
Day 16 Cancun and Isla Mujeres

Boat and palm tree
Fishing boat on Isla Mujeres
Paul flew home today. After breakfast I headed off to the beach at the Hotel Zone. I find it amazing that we were both functioning this morning. I wandered along the beach a bit. But, all those big hotels are not my thing. So, I took a fast catamaran-type ferry to Isla Mujeres.

Isla Mujeres is much more scenic and interesting than Cancum. Besides being a tourist hangout, it is still a working fishing village. There was a beautiful white sand beach there with palm trees on the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Everywhere you looked it was like a postcard. I really liked it. I can think of a lot worse places to spend an afternoon.

And he seemed to enjoy having someone to talk to. I and he was I'm so glad I took the time to learn the language.

The following morning I flew home.
